Vibration reduction techniques for high speed passenger elevators
This paper is broadly divided into three areas namely, the modelling of a high speed passenger lift system, identification of the sources of disturbance, and methods for improving the ride quality. A mathematical model representing the lift system was created initially and various tests were conducted on the actual system to obtain unknown parameters and also to verify the model. This model was then used to study ways of improving the ride quality. Some of the methods include active suspension technology and using modern control strategies to design a lift car velocity controller.<>
