Hexagonal waveguide mesh design for universal multiport interferometers
We explore the use of the hexagonal mesh topology for the implementation of a reconfigurable compact universal multiport interferometer recently proposed. We show that the hexagonal topology naturally lends to the implementation of this interferometer architecture.
