Most standard range-free localization methods ignore the anisotropy factors common in Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs), resulting in low placement precision. This paper proposes a well-performing Sun Flower Optimization Algorithm (SFO) for implementing the range-free anchor-free localization using Distance Vector-Hop (DV-Hop) in WSN. The localization of unknown nodes in the network is possible using a new objective model under range-free and anchor-free scenarios.
