This work extends the cross-spectral metric (CSM) for subspace selection and dimensionality reduction to partially adaptive 2-D sensor array processing. Our results demonstrated that the CSM results in a low-dimensional processor which provides nearly optimal performance, as compared to the full adaptive direct form processor.
