Field experiment of OSNR-aware adaptive optical transmission with pilot-aided bidirectional feedback channel
An OSNR-aware adaptive optical transmission system using time-division-multiplexed pilot sequences is proposed. We successfully demonstrated that the system automatically optimizes signal form by using in-band OSNR estimation and a bidirectional feedback channel in filed-installed fiber.
