Tests on transfer characteristics of the transformers should be performed to ensure their normal application. This paper presents a test method for transient signal transfer characteristics of electronic current transformer. A transient signal source, consisting of a series of software and hardware, produces transient current signals of the power system as the input of transformers. A signal acquisition and analysis device, which can be achieved by different equipment, collects the output signals of transformers and performs analysis on them. A real test on electronic current transformers are conducted, of which the test procedure and results are shown in this paper.
