Joint Time Allocation and Power Splitting Schemes for Amplify-and-forward Relaying Network over Log-normal Fading Channel
Wireless energy harvesting and power transfer in cooperative relaying networks is an efficient way to prolong the lifetime of energy-constrained nodes. Most of the existing works on this topic have been focused on Rayleigh fading channel which is used to study outdoor environments. In contrast, we propose a hybrid protocol (HP) which is a combination of the time-switching relaying (TSR) and power-splitting relaying (PSR). Two source nodes can exchange information with the help of an amplify-andforward (AF) relay node, the relay node is energy-constrained. The analytical expression of outage probability is derived. Numerical results also confirm that our proposed system can minimize the outage probability compared with the existing protocols and show that it is a green solution to improve system performance by reducing the threshold value. Furthermore, it is worth mentioning that the source transmit power can effectively change the system performance.
