The chapter considers whether a ‘mystery’ is simply a synonym for an ‘irrationality’, or whether it can be seen as a recognition of the limits placed upon the human mind to grasp a vast and complicated universe. What are the scientific and theological consequences of the limited capacity of the human mind?
