Designed robots have the lead plate and the detachable cube structure called the block to protect Micro-electromechanical Systems (MEMS) inside and bring repeaters. Robots with this structure are not only flexible to assemble but also be able to unload repeater blocks at specific locations in highly radioactive environments to expand their communication range. After comparing the key MEMS components of robots, such as sensors, on-board power supplies as well as piezoelectric actuators, this paper proposes two type of robot models with different functionalities: one can conduct short-distance sampling, another can proceed long-distance sensing under radiation conditions.
