Using the proposed system, the residential customers can monitor and control the power generation and also the consumption of their individual loads continuously and remotely using their mobile gadgets. Information about the amount of energy generation and consumption in any specified timeframe can help users to become more conscious in energy use and thus energy wastage can be reduced. To implement the proposed system, a prototype was developed using an IOT based microcontroller ESP-32. Necessary data i.e. power generation and then consumption by loads are collected using different sensors. Then the system sends the required notifications to the users on their mobile phones using the Blynk app even though they are not at home.
