At the same time, the quality of fracture fixation largely defines both the result of immediate surgical treatment and the final long-term result of the wounded person's treatment. The article provides an analysis of the scientific literature and our own experience in the development, testing, implementation and use of external fixation devices for surgical and specialized trauma care at the stages of medical evacuation. The main achievements of the world and Russian science are presented.
