It lays emphasis on the design of communication interface between ARM and DSP units, including hardware implementation and software program. Exploiting ARM-Linux as embedded operation system, ARM unit communicates with DSP unit in real time through the host port interface (HPI) of DSP. ARM regards the HPI as a character device to do operations such as reading and writing on it.
