Planar Choked Cross-Dipole Antenna for Hybrid Antenna System Application
In this paper, a low-frequency planar choked cross-dipole antenna for hybrid antenna system application is proposed. The antenna structure is evolved from a traditional dual-polarized cross-dipole but consists choke elements on the radiating arms. The proposed choke structure is able to alleviate the radiation-block effect of the low-frequency antenna on the high-frequency antenna. Preliminary results show that the proposed low-frequency antenna covering the 4G band of 2.19 GHz~2.54 GHz has less effect and good consistency of radiation patterns on the 5G high-frequency antenna, which is operating in 3.25 GHz~3.61 GHz with isolation better than 20 dB.
