Kinematical Analysis of Long Jumper Techniques by Using Silicon Coach Software
The determination of this study was to investigate the selected kinematical parameters of 3 to 5 years of experienced long jumpers. Analysis of long jumpers' performance in relation to kinematic variables was the objective. A total of 15 jumpers participated in this study. To capture kinematical data by using a good-resolution camera to capture the jumper's performance (GoPro Hero7 Black Action Camera with Touch Screen 4K Ultra HD Video 60 fps). The chosen kinematical parameters were Last stride length distance (LSL), Ground Contact Time (GCT), Knee angle (at the time of take-off) and standing broad jump (SBJ), and long jump performance for capturing the movement of the jumpers, the camera was placed perpendicular at a distance of 15mts right side of the runway and take-off board, the height of the camera was set at 5ft from the ground. All jumps are performed by the selected jumpers. The recorded video was analyzed using Silicon Coach Motion Analyzer Software. After that, the acquired data were calculated by using computer-based SPSS software, and the level of significance was set at 0.05. The findings of the study indicate that the standing broad jump, knee angle and ground contact time have markable differences in the long jump performance, other than the last stride length distance.
