This can be applied by retrieving semantic information from digitally annotated music scores. In this paper, we propose an ontology that structures the knowledge extraction process of a music pattern analysis algorithm. In addition to mandatory elements that describe music scores, the proposed ontology relies on contextual elements and attributes for pattern analysis. The ontology then supports the semantic information retrieval and analysis processes of music score contents.
