In this paper, observations on the reproduction of this species in the southern Espinhaço Range are reported. We found chicks and immatures of P. obscura during the rainy season, between November and January. Based on the development of gonads of two collected specimens, and given that incubation spends 28 days, nesting should occur between October and November.
