Novels by the Russian Anglophone writer (“The Dream Life of Sukhanov”, 2005; “The Line”, 2010; “Forty Rooms”, 2016; “The Charmed Wife”, 2021) have been interesting not only to her readers but to many linguists and literary scholars and critics. The novels represent a mix of two cultures, two language systems and two literary traditions.
