Atypical localized giant apocrine hydrocystoma: Case report
Apokrin hidrokistomalar (kistadenomalar) apokrin kaynakli benin kistik yapilardir. Apokrin hidrokistomlar genellikle soliter lezyonlar seklinde olusur. Bununla birlikte nadiren multiple olabilirler. Apocrine hydrocystomas (cyst adenomas) are apocrine originated benign cystic structures. Apocrine hydrocystomas are generally formed as solitary lesions and may be occasionally multiple. Lesions are located in the regions around the head and neck and internal epicanthus, along the eyelids. The principle cause of apocrine hydrocystoma is still unknown. In this article a 66 years old female patient is presented with the diagnosis of apocrine hydrocystomas. The patient had papule on right knee for 2 years. Upon dermatologic examination there was a bluish- purplish cyst 2x1cm in size on her right knee. We decided to present the case since the patient was histopathologically and clinically diagnosed as apocrine hydrocystoma, the patient's lesion giant in size and located atypically.
