The authentication system must allow only the authorized users to access the critical information. There are many authentication systems designed and used, but most commonly used authentication system is login-password. But this suffers with the attack called shoulder surfing, and brute force method of password guessing. The work carried out to explore the strengths of different graphical based password system to avoid the attack of shoulder surfing and enhance the security in terms of authentication.
