One solution for collecting system and user statistics in cable STB devices
Cable DTV operators only broadcast DTV content and have limited or no statistical information about the usage of the box so delivering new products and adjusting per customer needs is very limited. In this paper we analyze STB usage, strategies to collect user statistics and present one solution for collecting usage statistics on purchased DTV products.
