Design and simulation of omnidirectional MIMO microstrip antenna at 1.8 GHz for LTE applications
This paper is about the design of omnidirectional MIMO microstrip antenna at 1.8 GHz. To increase the gain of antenna, each antenna that is used in this design is a collinear patch antenna array. We use FR-4 as antenna with 4.3 constant dielectric and 1.6 mm thickness. The result of simulation shows that the antenna has 359 MHz bandwidth at 1.6–1.9 GHz frequency with −10dB return loss, has a gain of 7.575 dB, mutual coupling between −22 to −27 dB and has an omnidirectional radiation pattern.
