High-risk features may include progressive worsening over time, prominent mood and behavioral abnormalities, parkinsonism, and a cavum septum pellucidum on magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scan. At present, treatment is entirely based on relieving symptoms and keeping the patient safe.
