The Conditions for the Sedimentation of Mz-kz Deposits in the Northern Part of the East Siberian and Chukchi Sea

For a long history of comprehensive study of the shelf of the Eastern Arctic seas and assessment of its resource base, significant volumes of research have been carried out. The geological and geophysical operations are aimed primarily at studying the geological structure of the shelf, assessing the prospects of its oil and gas potential, identifying priority large oil and gas exploration sites, assessing resources and geological risks, and determining the strategy and tactics for further geological exploration in the region. The main purpose of this work was to restore the sedimentation conditions of the Mesozoic-Cenozoic deposits in the northern part of the East Siberian and Chukchi Seas on the basis of sequence stratigraphic analysis, as well as the specification of the structure of the selected and new promising objects.
