Enabling technologies like Bluetooth low energy (BLE) is essential to lodge intelligence in the smart device. By combining BLE, IOT, wireless sensor networks and wireless communication simple and efficient smart devices can be designed and developed. This paper focuses on developing a distress monitoring system for geriatric people based on the stress levels they encounter or on their body posture under unsafe conditions. The unsafe conditions can either be an attack on them or some health-related issues.
