However, its maximum delay approaches several milliseconds, and therefore, cannot be used in the time-sensitive communications that require delay of less than a few micro-seconds. In this study, an expanded PLCA algorithm is proposed that assigns a high priority to the time-sensitive packets and transmit them with a small delay by employing the concept of transmission interrupt.
