Development of higher order thinking skills based math problems with wetland contexts for junior high school students
Produce the development of HOTS-based math problems with a wetland context for SMP/MTs students that were valid, practical, and effective is the purpose of this research. The Tessmer model and Research and Development method are the methods used in this research. Data collection techniques using expert validation instruments, student response questionnaires, and HOTS questions. Expert validation is filled by 3 validators who produce an average score of 3.783 which is in the valid criteria. The test was conducted on 19 research subjects in class VIIIB SMPN 2 Banjarmasin. The average result of the student's response questionnaire is 3.287 states that the HOTS questions are on practical criteria. In the HOTS test, the average score of 64.895 students who are in the criteria is a quite good criterion which states that the HOTS questions developed are effective. Based on this description, it can be stated that HOTS-based math problems with wetland context for junior high school students are valid, practical, and effective criteria that are feasible to use.
