Although previous research has found that transformational leadership has a positive impact on employees' performance, the mechanism by which transformational leadership influences in-role performance has yet to be fully investigated. As a result, the current research will look at the function of one such mediator (meaningfulness at work) in understanding the link between transformational leadership and in-role performance. The data were collected from a sample of 204 employees working in the healthcare sector in Makkah Province, Saudi Arabia. In addition, the collected data were analyzed using the partial least squares technique to achieve the study findings. The current study found that transformational leadership has a considerable favorable impact on followers' in-role performance. In addition, meaningfulness at work was shown to mediate the association between transformational leadership and in-role performance in this study.
