To improve the electric insulation properties, OMMT was introduced into epoxy resin to prepare OMMT/epoxy nanocomposites, in which the OMMT was uniformly dispersed at nano-scale. The effect of OMMT content on surface hydrophobicity, charge dissipation, surface flashover, electrical breakdown and dielectric properties of the nanocomposite was investigated.
