Lack of dc storage element is a main attractive feature of MC converter topology which can make it suitable choice for many traditional B2B converter topology dominated applications. In this paper, Space Vector modulation (SVM) technique is applied for fixing the switching pattern of direct 3 3 MC. Here the concept of SVM technique for direct 3 3 MC is conceived by representing it in its equivalent B2B connected indirect converter topology and simultaneously applying SVM technique to both converters. Performance of direct MC is verified by simulation in PSIM environment.
