The proposed approach employs particle swarm optimization (PSO) algorithm for optimal setting of the problem variables. The PSO-based approach uses the information about the speed and determines the minimum-energy rotor flux parameters. The simulation results are presented and compared with the results of conventional field oriented control (FOC) and the optimized field oriented control (OFOC).
