城市规划是人类有目的、有意识的社会活动。它受自然和人类社会的影响。城市规划与城市空间扩展的研究处于全球城市研究的前沿,是热点问题之一。中国面临人口增长、资源匮乏、生态环境恶化等问题,合理的城市发展是与可持续发展密切相关的重要问题。由于城市空间扩展的成因多、问题结构复杂,对其进行综合研究是十分必要和有价值的。城市规划模拟是了解城市空间如何扩张的一种有效途径。本文的目的是通过实现USE-CA (urban space expansion - cellular Automata,城市空间扩展-元胞自动机)模型来模拟和研究城市空间扩展。
