Therefore, local food needs to be preserved and increased in value. We can utilize social media to promote local food. However, research has shown that local food hashtags are not used optimally to promote Banten specialties. There are many cases of promoting food other than local food using local food hashtags. This way certainly does not increase public awareness of the existence of local Banten food so that local food is not too recognized in the local food universe in Indonesia and loses prestige with other local foods. Therefore, it is necessary to assist local food SMEs in Banten by using social media optimally to introduce a variety of local Banten foods.
