The aim of this paper is to evaluate the Dynamic Source Routing (DSR)algorithm for VANETs. This study highlights the conditions necessary for packet transmission to devices that are not directly connected. Also, it is considered a scenario with distributed devices on a two-lane road, the use and the best disposition of relay poles, the required radio setting, and the use of different channels to increase network throughput. In addition, the shadowing propagation model is used.
