Mitigation scenarios for crossed timeslot interference (CTI) in LTE TDD system
This paper aims to evaluate crossed timeslot interference (CTI) in LTE TDD and its mitigation scenarios. The performance degradation of LTE TDD system due to the CTI is evaluated in terms of throughput and bit error rate (BER). This paper simulates and evaluates two mitigation scenarios. Simulation results show that system performance degrades significantly due to the CTI. The first mitigation scenario shows that by using additional guardband, the throughput degradation can be reduced. The second mitigation scenario shows that the degradation can be also reduced by increasing the isolation distance between affected user equipment (UE) and its strongest interferer.
