In the first stage of the method, SAPP is reduced to a lower-order transfer function. The denominator of the lower-order transfer function is obtained by combining dominant pole retention and Fuzzy C-Means pole clustering methods and Padé approximation is used to determine numerator. The suboptimal control law is derived for the reduced order transfer function and then implemented to original SAPP in the second stage.
