Description of experience: Experience of students and teachers of the Nursing Graduation Course of the Federal University of Juiz de Fora during the course of the discipline of Mental Health, focusing on the implantation of a practice field of the discipline in a BHU. The purpose of this field was to provide a greater visibility to mental health, with a different look to the users of BHU. Conclusion: The innovation proposed with this experience in mental health practice enabled the growth of all actors involved in the process. The BHU allows for actions in the prevention of diseases that can be caused by the lack of early identification and treatment of mental disorders.
