This paper examines Stator Field Oriented Control (S-FOC) and Direct Torque Control with modulated voltage command (DTC-SVM). These methods were selected due to their similar control structure regarding the reference input. It is assumed that S-FOC should have better performance over DTC-SVM due to it's voltage decoupling scheme.
