Bio-resource efficacy of compost and PGPR inoculation in improving sunflower plant growth and soil properties
Biological origin of both compost and plant growth promoting rhizobacteria (PGPR) qualify them as bio-resource. They offer a unique role in preserving and balancing the integrity of the ecosystem. Effectiveness of these bio-resources clearly showed marked improvement in plant growth, yield and qualitatative attributes of sunflower as well as soil properties too in a pot experiment. The results of this study proved that organic waste can be managed through a meaningful approach of composting and further, integrating with rhizobacterial inoculation can benefit both soil and plant environment.
