In this paper, a mode analysis model of the rail car has been founded based on finite element analysis (FEA), and the vibration modes and corresponding natural frequencies have been obtained from the simulation. The impaction caused by the rail joint has simply as a periodic excitation, and the frequency of the excitation has calculated due to the contain speed. Compared the simulation results, the theoretically resonance frequency band has been avoided.
