Formal Outlines of Case-Based Modelling of Data and Knowledge Sources for Drilling Control
The proposed interpretation for the case-based notion allows to concentrate the expert’s experience in the subject area of drilling of oil and gas wells that satisfies the criteria of the main data and knowledge sources which are strictly necessary for the functioning of the case-based reasoning in general and in particular. The developed formal outlines allow implementation of different knowledge schemas, such as those that are necessary for the case-based reasoning at the stage of feedback generation, or the knowledge actualization for the support of users, required during the reviewing and preservation stages. Accordingly, the basis of the upper level cases was described by a certain set of constraints in the form of relevant sets and systems that forms a predefined hierarchy of constraints. They are the most rigorous sketch for possible representation and formation of conglomerate of constraints as a consequence of the assumption for disproportionate constraints allocation on all levels. The essence of case-based decision support procedures is disclosed.
