This paper introduces the smart data collection system for improving the workshop management level in the perspective of illustrating the software design and implementation. The first contribution from this paper is a framework of smart data collection system is proposed, which is generic and helpful for MES construction. The second is the agent and interface middleware is reported to enable the real-time intercommunication with other models.
