A Novel Extendable High Gain Step up DC-DC Converter
In this paper, a new DC-DC step-up converter with high gain is proposed. The introduced structure can achieve variable gains by increasing the number of switched capacitor-inductor cells. The main features of the proposed converter are low duty cycle and low voltage stress on the switches even for the high voltage gains. The proposed topology features high output voltage with low inductance and an output filter. The proposed concept is realized by charging of the inductors and capacitors in parallel and discharging of them in series to feed the load. Operation modes and their analysis are provided in detail. The design of the proposed converter is based on the output voltage ripple. Simulation results are provided to prove the capabilities of the proposed concept.
