The sensor consists of the piezo element attached to a metallic strip with some adhesive and so, the response of the sensor is dependent on the geometry and modes of vibration of both the piezo element and the metallic strip attached to it. The experimentally measured impedance responses of the piezo elements and the corresponding sensors are compared with the simulated responses to validate the proposed model.
