High Brightness Diode Lasers Using Nonlinear Phase Conjugation
We describe experimental results together with modeling calculations on scaling semiconductor lasers to high brightness by the use of large area diode amplifiers and optical phase conjugation. Recent results where we have demonstrated diffraction-limited single-frequency performance from a large aperture in a phase-conjugate master oscillator power amplifier configuration are presented.
