Circularly-Polarized DRA-Slot Hybrid Antenna for Dualband Applications
A dielectric resonator antenna (DRA) is placed on top of an L-probe-fed slotted cavity to form a circularly polarized (CP) hybrid antenna. The zonal slot is perturbed to excite CP fields in the lower band, whereas the DRA located on top of the cavity is fed by an inclined slot to excite CP fields in the upper band. Ansoft HFSS was used to simulate the proposed configuration. The return loss, axial ratio and radiation pattern are presented.
