The rapid development of science, as well as changes in lifestyle, lead to the fact that the current methods of scientific work are becoming increasingly ineffective. The paper in question analyzes specific reasons why things are not good to continue in the current way, which is basically a very slightly changed medieval model. Since the times today are fundamentally different than then, it is good to update the ways of carrying out scientific activity. In addition to a theoretical analysis of the problems, the paper also considers specific projects that are directly related to the way science develops. The presentation is based on the author's experience related to a specific scientific field (mathematics, part number theory and combinatorics) and the proposals do not apply to science in general, but are rather suitable for the exact sciences and especially for mathematics.
