More precisely, this paper looks into the possible upgrade of the traditional radio transmitter-receiver system and incorporates the use of Cloud Computing and Internet of Things, so that radio transmitters can now be controlled via voice commands. Furthermore, we take a look at the transformation of a 27.145 MHz remote control toy car and convert it into one that can now be controlled using voice commands by providing an upgrade to the existing system. The proposed system has made use of Amazon Alexa as the voice interface platform and Amazon Web Services as the cloud computing platform, Specifically, the system designed makes use of the Lambda and S3 Service by Amazon Web Service. As the entire system is now cloud based, range issues associated with transmitters and receivers are eliminated.
