When PD occurs, ultrasonic wave will propagate outward, which can be collected to indirectly detect PD. At present, PD ultrasonic testing method is often used to locate discharge defects. Therefore, it is necessary to accurately calculate the time difference of arrival signal (TDOA). However, there is no research on the detailed mathematical implementation and comparative analysis of the performance of PD ultrasonic TDOA algorithms. In order to solve existing deficiencies, this paper makes a detailed theoretical analysis and mathematical implementation of four PD ultrasonic TDOA algorithms and carries out experimental research to test the accuracy and calculation time of the algorithms.
