Terahertz generation from cylindircally focused two-color laser pulses in air
We have demonstrated scalable terahertz generation by cylindrically focusing two-color terawatt laser pulses in air. Cylindrical focusing forms a 2-dimensional plasma sheet, simultaneously emitting terahertz radiation in two parallel lobes. We have also refocused the radiation and characterized its profile with an uncooled microbolometer camera.
