Nanostructured gradient index microlens for mid infrared applications
We present a new concept for GRIN lens development which can be used for both near- and mid-infrared applications. Internal nanostructure allow to obtain lens with arbitrary refractive index distribution. Use of a pair of thermally matched glasses with high transmission in the infrared permits performance in broadband infrared range.
